WHAT we buy

We are medal specialists first and foremost. Medals are our passion and what we are best known for, and we welcome single items or complete collections for valuation and purchase.

While medals are our main focus, we also actively buy a wide range of other items — from precious metals to collectables — where they fall within the categories advertised on our leaflets and events.

Items we regularly look at include:

  • British and Commonwealth campaign and gallantry medals, both single medals and groups 

  • Long service awards, coronation, jubilee and associated medals 

  • Silver War Badges, tribute medals and other medallic memorabilia 

  • Gold and silver, including jewellery and bullion items (as advertised)

  • Coins and banknotes of interest to collectors

  • Militaria, cap badges, documents, photographs and related items

  • Collectable items advertised on our leaflet that fall within our areas of expertise

We love medals because they represent service, history and personal story, and we always examine items with care, knowledge and respect. We are happy to look at anything you bring, regardless of quantity or condition — bring it along and let us make the assessment. Condition matters, but even worn or imperfect items can be of genuine interest.

We do not buy ceramics or glass unless they are of a *military nature (for example, part of a militaria grouping).

We welcome photo ID and any provenance you have — photos, documents or stories all help us understand the item and its background, and can add value.

Please remember — we never scrap medals. The only things we would consider scrapping are broken gold or silver items where the collectible or historical value has been lost. Medals are collectors’ items, not scrap — and it’s how we treat them.
