about us

Andrew has worked in the trade for almost 40 years and has been a medal collector since his school days. His interest began through conversations with family members who were veterans, and that early fascination with service history has never left him. Medals are not simply items to us — they represent stories, sacrifice and personal history.

What sets us apart is our understanding of the subject. Anyone can place gold or silver on a set of scales and work out its metal value. We look beyond that. We examine each item properly, explain what it is, where it fits historically, and why it matters.

We are well known and respected within the medal collecting community and the wider collectables trade. Andrew attends a number of established trade events and exhibitions and is a member of professional trade bodies within the industry. Many of our customers have dealt with us for decades.

We operate with a straightforward, no-nonsense approach. Every valuation is carried out openly and honestly, and clients are never rushed or pressured into making a decision. For many people, it is important that medals and historical items go to the right home where they will be appreciated — that is something we take seriously.

We are not a faceless online buyer. We are a bricks-and-mortar retail business with a shop, landline telephone number and established reputation. Traditional values, trust and integrity remain at the heart of everything we do.

The Medal Centre is a long-established family business built on knowledge, integrity and a genuine passion for medals and collectables.
